We hear nowadays about material designing or flat designing, 2 important and popular terms in website and online shop design. But what is the story of this new trend?
Google launched a major change in its services design starting from its logo, about 3 years ago, and continued to develop and encourage all its partners to adopt this design by giving prominence to the advantages of the design hardware.
Material design consists of clear design lines or linear drawings, without any depth or any figuration, using squares and circles as primarily basis.
This linear design offers a simple (minimal) browsing and management environment, giving the website, or online shop, speed and viewing the essence of the content without any unnecessary figuration.
The linear images accompanying the design style are small in capacity and this helps to quick respond and tour wrap, thus saving data and time. It is important for the user because it prevents him from leaving.
Websites and online shops using material design flat and responsive technology are more user-friendly by enabling users to easily access services and products on any device.
So anyone can make an order in an online shop that uses material design in less than 2 minutes, so satisfying the user.
In the era of mobile interactivity and browsing, the offering of fast response technology for mobile devices, such as mobile phones and tablets, is very important as it develops the brand that the site represents.
Another feature that accompanies #material_design is flat colours or pale colours. Far from the old design techniques that wanted websites or online shops to use bright or dark colours with fancy lines and effect figurations, flat style makes browsing more enjoyable since it does not tire the user and it responds to the overall design style with 1 or 2 colours.
The basic color is white and there are always 1 or 2 pal colours from Google’s palette which harmonize the content with minimal esthetic, so even a tired user responds more pleasantly in a minimal browsing environment without being annoyed.
Last but not least, the fonts we choose to design our website or online shop are very important. Google has given and proposed specific design fonts, giving this way a total sense of freedom in text reading and a different aspect of the result.
For Onesmart Promotion, material design and flat style are something we loved from the beginning and is what we recommend in all of our projects, thus giving a pleasant browsing, clear environment and a summer accent at any time of the year!
